In depth review: Apple’s iPhone 4S running iOS 5

Apple's iPhone 4S, at first glance, seems largely to be a refreshed iPhone 4. It is, but it also is not, thanks to three powerful new features that transform what has been the world's most popular smartphone into a vastly improved new version of itself.

In a sense, the iPhone 4S is just a refreshed iPhone 4, but that is not a bad thing at all. I mean, look how successful the 4 was for Apple. I bought an iPhone 4S on the day that it came out, and I have had nothing but a good experience so far. I got rid of my Galaxy S that I had because the phone just had more issues than it’s worth. I noticed that the iPhone 4S streams video much smoother than my old phone, and that phone was a “4G” phone. I use the DISH Remote Access app from my employer DISH Network which lets me stream live TV and recorded shows from my 922 SlingLoaded receiver to my phone anywhere I am. On my other phone, I would see the buffering sign quite often. I have not had that at all with the iPhone 4S. So even though the iPhone 4S is a refreshed iPhone 4, it still has more than enough features and quality to make a great phone for anyone.
